Synopsis

A Vietnamese sniper known as "The Monkey" is picking off American soldiers in the Duc Pho Province with alarming ease, making shots no average man should be able to achieve. After he takes down an American Colonel, the military decides it's time to shut him down. They select the best man for the job, ace sniper Sgt. Frank Castle, and send him into enemy territory with a squad of the best men they have to offer. Castle and his men run into trouble. The entire team except Castle is killed and Frank is taken prisoner. There he is confronted by The Monkey, who brags to him about the target of his next mission. Monkey sets off to kill Frank's mentor Captain James, and Frank seemingly hangs himself in his makeshift cell.
